Author Fest by the DG Area Council of PTAs

Every other year it's our turn!  The southside schools of D58 host Author Fest - a weeklong celebration of award-winning and nationally-recognized children's authors.  During this week, three to four authors, chosen by the Council, visit the school and conduct workshops and readings for the kids.  The kids love this event!  The LRC Director and the Committee work together on scheduling and promotion, leading up to the week of visits.  And you get to meet all the authors and take lots of pictures of smiling kids!!
